Lee County Revenue, Alabama

Overview

The Lee County Tax Assessor’s Mapping/GIS Department creates and maintains accurate property ownership maps in accordance with Alabama Department of Revenue laws, regulations, and standards. Using recorded documents such as deeds, plats, wills, and surveys, the department updates property records to reflect changes in ownership, boundaries, parcel configurations, and other property information.

The department manages Lee County’s geographic information system (GIS) and provides accurate, accessible mapping data and services to support county operations and the public.

Tax maps and parcel data are a foundation of the property assessment and appraisal process. They provide the location, size, boundaries, acreage, and ownership information needed to properly identify and value each parcel. Mapping also supports the creation and verification of parcel splits, combinations, and boundary changes, helping ensure property records remain current and accurate.

Accurate tax maps help ensure that all taxable property is properly identified and recorded, providing appraisers and assessors with reliable information to support fair and consistent property valuations.

Important: Tax maps are prepared for property tax purposes only and are not intended for property conveyance or establishing legal property boundaries.
