A courtesy registration reminder is mailed for each vehicle currently registered in Lee County.
Courtesy Reminders
- Courtesy reminders are mailed during the first few days of each renewal month.
- Although courtesy reminders are mailed, it is still the responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure the vehicle is registered and all fees are paid on time.
- Before mailing your renewal, the owner must provide the required insurance information, including the insurance company, NAIC number, and policy number for each vehicle.
Late Renewals
Late renewals must be proccessed in person or online.
Military Ad Valorem Tax Exemption
If you are claiming a Military Ad Valorem Tax Exemption, please include:
- A notarized form from the JAG office stating eligibility and home of record. If you do not have the JAG form, you will need to visit the office to sign the Soldier and Sailors affidavit.
- A copy of your current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES).
- A copy of your photo ID.
If you are an active-duty spouse and cannot obtain the JAG form, you may bring a Power of Attorney to our office to sign the Soldier and Sailors affidavit. We will also need a copy of the spouse's current LES and photo ID.
