Online Registration

Online registration is available ONLY for vehicles newly purchased from an Alabama dealer.

If you purchased a vehicle from an Alabama dealer, you may complete your registration online through EasyTag.

What You Will Need

Alabama title application
Bill of sale
Proof of insurance
Valid driver's license
Last registration, if available, or your tag number

If your driver's license does not show your current Lee County address, you will also need proof of residency. Acceptable documentation may include:

Power bill
Lease agreement
Homestead paperwork
Affidavit of Residency

Important: 20-Day Registration Requirement

You have 20 days from the date of purchase to complete your vehicle registration. Failure to register within this time may result in penalties.

After You Register Online

Your license plate, decal, and registration receipt will be mailed to you. Please allow 7 business days for delivery.

A printable receipt will be available as proof of online payment only. It is not a valid registration receipt and may not be used in place of your mailed registration documents.
