Renew Online
Vehicle registrations may be renewed online at the Motor Vehicle Portal .
Before You Renew
- You will need your driver's license number and tag numbers.
- Online renewals are available through midnight on the last day of the renewal month without penalty. We recommend renewing early and not waiting until the last day.
- System overloads, technical difficulties, or an inability to complete your renewal online do not excuse the late fee.
- Renewals completed after the last day of the month are subject to a $15 late fee.
- The vehicle owner must be a resident of Lee County.
- Please make sure your mailing address is correct in the system before submitting your payment. Your registration documents will be mailed to the address on file. If you have trouble updating your address, please contact our office for assistance.
- A change from a regular license plate to a personalized plate must be completed in person at our office.
- Please allow 7 business days to receive your tag in the mail. If you are stopped by law enforcement before receiving your tag, the decision to issue a citation is at the discretion of the law enforcement officer.
- You will not be able to purchase a replacement sticker until 7 business days after ordering your tag online.
Fees
Online renewals are subject to:
- 3.0% convenience fee, with a $3.50 minimum convenience fee
