County to County Transfer
If you moved from another county in Alabama to Lee County, you will need the following documents to complete your registration:
- Last registration, if available, or your tag number
- Proof of Alabama Insurance
- Driver's License for each person on the title, if more than one owner
- Proof of Lee County Residency
You may wait until your renewal month to transfer your vehicle registration to Lee County.
Proof of Lee County Residency
Acceptable proof of Lee County residency includes:
- Alabama driver's license with current Lee County address
- Power bill
- Gas bill
- Lease agreement
- Homestead paperwork
- Deed
- Affidavit of residency
