Tips for a password you’ll actually remember
A passphrase is your friend. Three or four unrelated words with a number and symbol — like copper-lantern-river-8! — is both very secure and easy to type across your devices.
Don’t use anything guessable — not your name, your city, your department, or the year. If someone who knows where you work could guess it, it isn’t strong enough.
Don’t reuse a password from your bank, shopping, or other important accounts.
After you change it in Webmail, update it everywhere your email is set up — Outlook, your phone, your tablet — or those will stop receiving mail.
