Aside from books, DVDs, and public computer access, the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library offers a number of other services to the public:
The library provides two copiers for public use. Copies are .10 cents per page for regular sized paper (8.5 x 11) and .25 cents per page for legal sized paper and over. Ask a staff member for assistance if you are unsure about how to use the copiers.
The library can laminate documents anywhere from the size of small cards (social security cards for example) to large posters up to 27 inches wide. Cards cost .50 cent each while prices for larger and multiple items vary based on yardage of laminate used. Items can be dropped off for pick-up later.
If we don't have the book you need we will be happy to set up an interlibrary loan for you from another library. There is a small cost associated with this service ($3 per book). Generally, it takes 2-4 weeks for a book to arrive once an interlibrary loan request has been submitted.
A Die-Cut Machine is available for public use in our workroom. Please bring your own paper when using the die-cuts.
Have an item you think is needed in our collection? Please complete a patron request form at the Circulation Desk, or drop us an email (please include your name, address and phone number along with the title request). The library will make every effort to accommodate your request.
The library offers free Wi-Fi throughout the main library. No log-in credentials are needed. Wireless printing is unavailable.
Paperbacks in turnstiles are available for anyone to sign out. A library card is not needed. Patrons can sign out up to ten (10) paperbacks per visit at the Circulation Desk.
LITTLE FREE LIBRARY
The Little Free Library is located in the front of the library and is available for anyone to use and enjoy. The LFL was graciously donated by Abbie Gardner Ballew State Farm.
The library subscribes to a number of magazines and newspapers which can be enjoyed in the back of the library in our periodical reading area.
The library offers guitars and ukuleles for check-out. The kits include an instruction books, tuner, and bag and can be checked-out for thirty (30) days. Please see a staff member about checking out a guitar or ukulele.
BCHGS RESEARCH ROOM
The Butler County Historical and Genealogical Society’s Research Room is located near the back of the library. The collection is extensive, containing information about not only Butler County, but other counties throughout the state. BCHGS volunteers are here on Tuesdays and can assist you with your research. The research room is open for anyone to use during the hours of the library.
